“Drawing with light”
Twiggles studied photography & the physics of “drawing with light" as a teenager in higher education. Whilst later destined to carve out a career in TV & broadcast, creatively, she’d found her passion.
In order to pay for her studio apartment, Twiggles worked whilst studying. She was Kodak’s youngest photo lab manager in the U.K. It was at this time that Canon manufactured the Sure Shot 105, 35mm film camera; a camera she still possesses to this day. 1997 - 2005 she used light to draw almost 2000 images of family, friends & daily life before and into the new millennium.
Fast forward to 2022, Twiggles had her first exhibition, featuring 5 large format prints, in the heart of Soho, London. A second exhibition is planned for Spring 2023.
It’s been an amazing career change from TV and later, film post-production to being an independent, successful photographer.
Working predominantly at high end nightclubs, events & private parties, Twiggles uses the term “Wild Life photographer”.
A phrase that sums up the wonderful, unique and trusted position she maintains, capturing people’s celebrations, vibes and energy!
